Old Buildings on the Blue 1a

These old buildings are on the Blue River in Arizona down in a canyon.

  • Old Gas Station...this old gas station once sat down in a valley in a ghost mining town known as Mogollon, New Mexico. Where this sat is now an open space and the surface of the road is about six feet below the old level. There was a flood that washed down the valley and left very little as it once was. The small valley is only a few hundred feet wide at most parts yet at one time was a busy mining town during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Their graveyard is located not down in the valley but up on top of one of the mountain peaks that surround the town.

  • Old Home Stead I...Located on the Blue River in Arizona this abandoned home stead was once a farm in a beautiful canyon with the Blue River running only a few hundred feet from the house and barns. I love old houses and barns like this and capture them when ever I find them.

  • Rain on the Chimney...This old chimney is all that is left standing of the old bunk house. This is located on top of the White Mountains in Arizona. It was raining when I took this photo of it which is rare in this area, rain that is. It was probably an old ranch house or line cabin for the ranchers to use while tending the cattle herds up on the summer range. During the winter months this area is covered with several feet of snow and hard to access.
  • Old Barn I...This old barn is located in Commerce, Georgia. It was behind a home I rented from friends.
